One of the members of the Nairobi Young and Old cooperative group in front of her fruit and vegetable stand in a local market in Nairobi. This income generating activity enables her to have some financial independence and not rely on her husband, when spending money on health and education for her children. This income also helps when deciding on family planning options. The Nairobi Young and Old group she is part of, also gathers regularly to discuss sexual reproductive health, and family planning options. They are supported by DSW (Deutsche Stiftung Weltbevoelkerung), an international development and advocacy organization with focus on achieving universal access to sexual and reproductive health and rights.
